The MATOC Family
The MATOC organization is a partnership of transportation agencies that work together to ensure the safe and efficient flow of people and goods in the National Capital Region. While this list is constantly growing, current agencies include the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia Departments of Transportation along with County and City transportation departments and transit providers like WMATA and other local providers.
Members of MATOC meet on a monthly basis to share best practices in operations, information technology, and policy in an effort to develop and maintain the inter-agency relationships needed to keep the region moving. MATOC also brings together experts from other first responder communities, academia, and the private sector to improve the people, processes, and technology associated with traffic management, traveler information, and incident response.
